I was recently talking to somebody who claimed the US Navy was using ceramic bushings in bushed a/c lugs to prevent corrosion in a marine environment.

But I wasn't able to dig the details up for this. Seems like few ceramics would be up to the task. Ceramic coatings maybe.

Question: what would be your approach to reduce corrosion for a conventional bushed aluminum lug fitting in a marine environment?

Hmmm... unfamiliar with 'ceramic bushes' for lugs... hungry for more info... please advise!

I am very familiar with FTI Force-Mate bushes with appropriate Bush-OD/hole-ID finishes and maybe some low-viscosity [spray] sealant or epoxy primer... should work well.
