Do you recommend to ground metal containers ( 5 gallon) when filling with acetone through a sample line which is downstream of pump?

Unlike low conductive fluids such as toluene, relaxation time for acetone (0.00003 sec) is so less that it will dissipate faster.

Please comment if we need to ground conductive containers ( 5 gal container) which is used for sampling puposes. Pipeline is grounded.

Thank You

I would prefer
1)bonding of whole system,
2)flow velocity to be kept low(preferabely 3ft/sec or 1m/sec) and
3)the filling line extended right down inside upto the bottom of under filling container.

Hope this helps!

I agree with statement above. If you are filling can from sample point then I would recomend to place can in a grounded drip tray and also attach earthing line between can and sample point.
