Dear all,
First of all thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I am doing the checks of direct route, EN 13445-3.But not sure if I should include de static equilibrium check or not, actually, not sure if it makes sense.
The design is a kind of pressure vessel, with a lug type support. This support is screwed to a support on a wall (sketch from "Finite element analysis on reactor pressure vessel support lug for RDE" S. Sudadiyo ; E. Hartini; M. Subekti; T. Setiadipura; S. Bakhri; A. Nugroho; Krismawan attached)
The pressure vessel is not under wind/seismic loads. The only load acting on vessel is its weight (filled with water). So does it make sense the vessel can overturn or have rigid body displacement?
I have checked some examples, and depending on the case, static equilibrium check is not mandatory.
Thanks for the suggestions, just a beginner with this code.
