On a static load test, should the change in gauge reading per hour and change in the wire reading per hour match?

I asked to AI and the respond seems reasonable to me..

Static load test involves monitoring the gauge reading and wire reading to assess the settlement rate and applied load.

  • Gauge reading: This typically refers to the displacement of the pile, measured using displacement sensors or dial gauges. The test involves applying increasing test loads and recording the associated pile displacement for a predetermined time.
  • Wire reading: It is not explicitly mentioned in the context of static load testing. However, the term might refer to the readings from load cells or electronic sensors used to measure the applied load.
Changes in gauge and wire readings per hour should be within acceptable limits to ensure the test load remains substantially constant. If the settlement rate exceeds a predetermined maximum value, the load increase may be paused until the rate stabilizes.
