Hello Guys,
Well, i am working on project involving the connecting the wind farm with the electrical grid system. As my background is in mechanical system so i need some help with the component know as "static VAR compensator". I am particularly looking at the information related to the internal construction of the SVC (Inductors, Capacitors involved etc),
Which is the best place to install SVR system in the circuit and Is there any limit/logic on the number of SVC we can install in the system.

Sorry, if my question look a bit vague,
i will appreciate ur help in the form of suggestions, online links or anything you can provide me with to improve understanding of these systems.

The SVC is basically a bank of capacitors with MV breakes and some kind of control device.

Typically this is installed at the 34.5 kV collector substation. The size of the overall MW generation of the plant will determine the amount of reactive compensation. The interconnecting utility may have their own requirements as well.

Most wind turbines are inductive generators and as such, require SVC in order to imporove overall power quality on the transmission line.

GE makes a version of their turbine call "Wind VAr". With this system, SVC are not required as the turbines utilize Variable Frequency Drive components that are able to dynamically provide voltage and reactive support to the system.

Hope this helps.

Try a Google search on the common abbreviation STATCOM. The document from ABB below gives some idea of how they work.
