Statistics on Automotive Tooling

Can anyone point me to sources where I can get statistics on tooling used in the manufacture of automobiles? I am looking for expenditures per year, tooling cost per vehicle, tonnage of steel used, or other statistics for an economic analysis of the tooling market.
