May 6, 2020 #2 edison123 Electrical Oct 23, 2002 4,429 Magnetic wedges are used to reduce magnetizing current of low speed motors. If a lot of wedges go missing, the no-load current may be higher, if you are tracking the decoupled no-load current. I doubt CSA can detect missing mag wedges.
