Good morning

I found a drawing of a steam boiler (506,160 KCal/hr) (fire tubes) and I'm interested in check the max pressure and/or design pressure this steam boiler can work with, also I would like to check the size of the relieve valve, can you recommend me some literature/code where I can find the formulas for this?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how that would work- could be highly dependent upon what all was shown on that drawing.
In particular, if the drawing doesn't designate temperatures at various locations, I would think you'd be pretty limited in what you can do.
If by chance this is "old" (ie, steam tractor or steam locomotive or something of similar vintage), it may assume materials or methods of manufacture no longer covered by the code.
If by chance this is something "miniature", there are separate provisions for that, I believe. Right offhand, that rating doesn't convey a physical size to me.
And, to add to the response above- you don't just need one section of the ASME code, you'll need several sections and a good bit of knowledge and experience to use them.

attached is an image of a part of a drawing I'm taking as an example, this drawing include a set of ecuations to obtain the thickness and pressure of the body of the boiler, I want to do the same but I need to understand where those ecuations are coming

JStephen,

ASME Section I is the Design Code which send you to the references codes as - Section II, V, IX, B31.1 etc.
But, in order to design a power boiler, one shall start with Section I.

luisss749,
The two equations that you mark are from Section VIII Division 1.
