Guys,

I'm new into the field, so this is probably an easy one for you guys. Does anyone one know the conversion of sq. ft. of steam to BTU's. Also in addition I have a Burnham V-909a steam boiler thats getting piped into a shell & tube heat exchanger, converting it into 80 degree condensing water for a heat pump application. Does anyone know a good link for a typ. piping arrangement for the boiler? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

BTU is energy. What is Sq. ft of steam???? Steam flow? Pressure? Are you looking for steam tables? steam energy in different pressures? super heated steam tables?

Only thing I can think of with Sq ft is Square foot EDR. This is an archaic term that is ususally associated with condensate return units or fin tube radiation. Equivalent Direct Radiation. For steam it is about 240 BTU's per square foot.

I hope this helps.
