Application is papermaker.
Low Pressure Steam is not corrosive to the steam piping [mild steel] or the paper machines dryer cans [cast iron].
Why is steam so corrosive to our CF8M electropolished castings? [very serious corrosion]
Even the SS316L polished shaft is very corroded - why?
Could the reason be because our castings are exposed to air, steam, and condensate?
The dryer cans and piping are not exposed to air but do have condensate.
