Steam out conditions

What effect does steam out condition have on the seal? The customer has told us the pump will be subjected to the steam out condition at 24psi@267F. From the seal point of view, what questions should be asked to the customer, if any?

You need to verify that the seal design can accommodate these conditions. Buna or Nitrile elastomers may be limited to 250 F.
