Hello Engineers!
This is my first post on this Platform so please be nice![[smile] [smile] [smile]](/data/assets/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm currently writing my bachelors Thesis on Steam Surface Condensers and how to design them.
Using HTRI I designed an X-Type condenser with given design parameters on both inlet and outlet it was quite big.
Now i have Information about the competitions design which is a lot smaller with a lot less tubes. This made me realize that HTRI does not actually calculate steam distribution?!?
I guess my question is: is it even possible to design a Steam surface condenser using HTRI,
and if so, how does it calculate those steam passages?
Its just about getting streamlined condenser Dimensions and finding out how to calculate tube sheet layout.
additional information: its for condensing Turbine Steam, Low pressure/ Low temperature Water cooled downflow SSC
Please help
(and tell me what information i forgot to give to you)
