Steam Trap Outlet Condensate Temperature 1

Hi, I need to calculate the temperature of the condensate coming out of a steam trap. The incoming steam is at 50psig saturated vapor. Is it usually assumed that the outlet of the trap is 50psig saturated liquid? I am not sure if more than the latent heat is lost across the steam trap and/or if there is significant pressure drop across the steam trap. If more heat and pressure is lost, how would I calculate that? I appreciate any help! Thank you!

Usually, you can consider that the condensate is saturated at the steam trap outlet. It can get subcooled in the draining piping if it has not thermal isolation.

One a fellow engineer had the same question. I help him into the steam tramp calculations of heat and pressure drop. We test on fiel, the difference with the theoretical calculations and the field measurement's were no important.
