Good morning

I was asked to make the selection of two steam traps after a heat exchanger.
what I see in the PID ( in the attachment) is that they use two steam traps, one of them is the normal one and the other is for the start-up. is the start-up one needed here, given that it is a condensate line?
also, should the capacity for this steam trap be the same mass flow rate of the heat exchanger? and what is the normally allowable pressure drop over the trap?
I am handling steam traps for the first time so any information even the simplest one would be valuable.

It looks that the trap #107 is used for recycling the condensate back to the system, while the trap #248 is for testing the line by dumping condensate to grade. IMO, trap #248 is served with no purpose and can be deleted.
