I can help you with this.
Need the following information:
FLOWRATE IN LB/HR OR SIMILAR
RESERVOIR CONDIDITIONS (PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE)
DISTANCE TO MEASUREMENT POINT OR RECEPTOR
ANY SPECIFIED LEVEL REQUIRED (AND PLEASE DON'T TELL ME 85 dB-A AT 3 FEET OR 1 METER).

Flow Rate - 12000 cu.m/sec
Temperature - 520 deg C
Pressure - 77 Kg/Sq.cm
Required Noise level - 85 dBA @ 1m distance @135Deg

Any other details required.

Senthil - perhaps you mean that the volume flow is at atmospheric pressure.
12000 cu.m/sec at those inlet conditions is a tremendous flow.
It is best to have weight flow to avoid any confusion.

Then I believe Burgess-Manning can predict the unsilenced noise level through the valve and what silencer is needed.
