Structural steel is often specified to BS EN 10025 in the UK. A typical designation would be S275J2G3 for a 275 N/mm2 yield strength steel. The code originally came in to being in 1993 and was replaced in 2004. My question is what does the term 'G3' indicate as I cannot see it in the code. The J terms are indicative of Charpy impact results at different temperatures.
