steel fabrication estimate 1

Does anyone know of a fabrication 'norm' for steelwork fabrication estimating. I use JS Page Pipe manhours for my pipe fabrications but cannot find anything similar for steel fabs

What are you trying to estimate? Tonnage, blank development, time?

Fabrication cost without excessive machining currently in India is 1 -1.25 USD/kilo.

I always used $2.00/pound for skid type structures. This is welded out, ready for paint. However with recent price increases for material and wages, I have upped it to $2.25 pound. Of course this is we do it ourselves, so if you have an outside fabricator do it, it will be alot more.

$20/sq ft right now for deck plate, about the same for grating.
