hi there, I was wondering if any had some sample calcs to explain how a steel picture frame will work. Specifically the base beam. Have a project whereby I need to take out ground floor load bearing wall which is also providing a buttressing effect to the side walls. A picture frame is the preferred method of doing this as it removes the need for large eccentric foundations.
