Looking for a detail or method to sealing holes trough sheet piling. We need to outlet 12-inch diameter PVC pipes through steel sheet piling. Does anyone have a detail for this ?

I'll have to do some digging, but we had an HDPE pipe penetration (sanitary sewer forcemain) through a sheet pile flood wall about 15 years ago. I can't remember if we used a commerically designed seal system, but we did add additional plate to compenstate for the section loss at the penetration. The pipe was below the frost line, so a true seal was somewhat less critical. I'd look at a free body diagram and insure that the movement of the wall doesn't engage the pipe. With PVC, you'll likely want to oversize the hole to avoid any direct contact. I think the commerical system(s) we reviewed was from but I don't recall anything directly off the shelf for sheetpiling.

Case it with steel. Torch through the sheets then weld it up. Install the PVC through the casing. The beauty is it can be pulled out in the future if you need to upsize, repair, maintain, etc. There are spacers commercially available that center and support the PVC inside the casing.
