I am taking on a project that involves the rehabilatation of a steel pin connected through truss built in 1885. The truss is about 197' long and has 12 panels,is about 19' wide and 28' tall. I need to replace some of the hangers that hold the transverse floor beams at the lower chord panel points. I am trying to find a source with details showing how to cable the pin at the lower joint to hold the joint when replacing some of the hangers and transverse floorbeams. The bridge will be opened as a pedestrian/bicycle bridge with an occasional pick up truck maintenance vehicle load. After the transverse floor beams are replaced nuw longitudinal steel stringers and timber deck will be installed.
