I'm involved in a project that will require testing of rock and soils on steep slopes, and the subsequent placement of anchors on these slopes. These slopes will vary from moderately steep, to near vertical.

Any good solid information is appreciated. I'd like to know of any companies that specialize in this type of application. We are anticipating having to use ropes or cables to access the steepest portions.

Thanks,

Lee

What have your local geotechnical consultants told you? Much of the answer to your question will depend on the equipment and experience available to you -

Where is your site? What do you plan to construct? (My guess is an electric transmission line...)

Focht3,

Thanks for responding,

Not Transmissions lines. The project may involve fastening a metal stairway up a cliff side. On ledges and such, we can use heavy pilings or anchors, but on the very steep slopes we're going to use smaller pilings, or anchors. Hope this helps. Now, I need names and contacts, please. . .

Okay - where is the site located? (This helps us to provide those precious names and numbers you covet!)
