Step by step on keywords

Good morning to all,

I just would like to know, since in others softwares there's the possibility of running the algorithm step by step, does that possibility exist in ABAQUS? So I could run each line of the keyword on my command and analyse where the error occurs.

Hi JuKnip,

You can check the .dat and .msg files which are generated by the solver to find any warning or error messages. These can be extremely helpful when debugging an analysis that has failed to converge or given unsatisfactory results. You can also check the .sta file to monitor the progression/convergence of your solution at each step/iteration.

In the .dat file it tells you where in the input deck it failed.
