Step incrementation and size

Hello,

I am patiently ploughing way at my analysis (FE is fun!), is there any rule on understanding if the analysis just doesnt have a the correct level of step incrementation and size or even by running an analysis for years still will not solve the problem?

P.S. here is another question...... What do you do when you get the equivalent of "writers block" on Abaqus and FE?

I check the results in CAE while it is still running.

Post here, got to abaqus's tech support page, contact your tech support, work on one of you mindless other tasks.
