I checked the AutoCad website for some info, but didn't find much. I am trying to find some information on a step translator for AutoCAD 2007 Mechanical. The reseller told me that it is only available on Inventor. However, I have AutoCAD 2002 Mechanical Desktop, and it has a step translator. I'm just wondering if the reseller is trying to take advantage of us.
Thanks in adavance.

I thought it had the STEP translator built in. Try typing STEPIN at the command line.

I would try, but we haven't bought the software yet.

He may be correct. Out Mechanical 2006 does not respond to STEPIN. I guess only IGES is supported.

Thanks, guys. AutoDesk must of removed the translator from it.
