Is there a way to attach a "sticky" note to drawings that will appear on the drawing but will not plot? This is simlar to sticky notes used on PDF files. The only thing I have tried is putting notations on a different layer & then turning it off.

The closest thing that I know of is done by AutoView by Cimmmetry Systems In addition to viewing and measuring SW files without SW, AutoView includes a redline markup feature. I have wanted to play with this but have never found the time to do so. Because of that, I don’t know that if the markup is actually visible inside SW or not.

Good luck

You are just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll check out the info and let you know if it will work for me.

eDrawings Professional has a markup function, as well.

I was not aware of that. I am still using SW2001+ which is probably the reason.

Thanks

It really IS as bad as you think, and they ARE out to get you!

Funny debate happening re: eDrawings professional (the version you pay for that has markup and sectioning) here where I work....

Sales wants us to have it so they can use it to wow customers, but they think it should come out of engineering's budget. Funny guys!
