Stitch Welds 1

Is it possible to tweak the Insert -> Assembly Feature -> Weld Bead to represent a stitch weld?

Can't seem to find anything in Help besides Caterpillars, but thats just for drawing representations.

You can place Stitch Welds in a Weldment, but I don't think it can be done in a regular assy with the Weld Bead function, not even in SW07.

You should be able to create multiple welds by "preparing" the surfaces with either split faces or chamfers for selection in the Weld Bead dialogue box.

Another option is to insert a fillet weld bead and then go into the weld bead part and cut away the necessary portions to leave the stitch. You will end up with a multibody weld bead, but it should work.

I was able to create the multi-body part as Shaggy18VW suggested ... looks fine for what I'm doing. Just trying to have an accurate representation of drawing from 1966 to develop maintenance tooling.
