Stop drafing updates

How can I lock a drafting view so that when I return to modeling and add more detail, the new details don't update in the drafting page?

You can set the Drafting Preference - View tab to Delay View Update.

Either: Preferences>Drafting>View(Tab)>[tick]Delay View Update(OFF).

Or: Per View, Use Style>General(tab)>[tick]Automatic Update(OFF).
