Someone can help to find guidelines, rules, practices, standards about this topic:
storage of dirty water or waste water, with hydrocarbons into solubility range, of a chemical plant: distances from plants, if or when needed a basin and waterproof florring, etc.

Hi,
You should talk to your local EPB .
I guess it will depend if you are treating the waste water in your facility or outside .
My experience in China for a chemical plant with chemical reactors and distillation columns , 2 outdoor concrete pools within the plant, with a capacity of 15000 m3 each , one for waste water and one to recover spent water in case of fire .
