Hello,
Does anyone know of a free storm sewer program with a graphical user interface available for download? Something similar to hydraflow? I used to use Hydraflow but have switched jobs and was given Qhec-12.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am not sure but I think SWMM5.0 will model storm sewers. You can always code a spreadsheet with HEC22.

try stormwater software from Haestad Methods.

Haestad Software (aka Bentley) is definitely not free!!
Although if you wanted to spend a small fortune, StormCad is really nice. I have found no free software with a graphical interface. Your only "free" solution is a spreadsheet like gbam said. SWMM wasnt meant for your typical storm sewer design.

There is a free, although limited, version of HydroCad available . The program is not expensive and works reasonably well for many storm drain design tasks.

SWMM is free.
HEC-RAS is free.
SMADA is a low cost version of SWMM.
Some pipe and culvert manufacturers iffer some free software, e.g Contech.

Also Tsgrue's website for others.

good luck

Thanks for all the responses. I'll check it out. I might just create a spreadsheet to get my HGLs. Were running civil 3d and I know Autodesk bought hydraflow, which they are providing for free as an extension to subscription customers so I'm gonna try that route, the problem is by the time I work my way through the bureaucracy I could have it done.

Thanks again!

If your running civil 3D, Hydraflow Storm Sewers Extension is the way to go. Shouldn't be any bureaucracy behind free stuff!

notsocivil, I agree with horazII. Although if interested, i have written a stormwater spreadsheet that does the networking, structure tables, pipe structures, egl/hgl, etc., before I have started using Hydroflow, sedcad, and pondpack.
