Hi,
In NX1899, I've realised that if you export a STEP file (.STP) where there previously was one, automatic naming versions the file up adding a suffix of "_n". Thus effectively avoiding overwriting the previous version.
Prior to Continuous Release, there was a warning dialog where you could accept or cancel the overwrite....
Is it possible to turn off auto versioning???
It makes no sense since the model version usually is embedded in one's own file naming convention. An export of "partname_version.prt" will always need to be "partname_version.stp", no matter how many times I export it.
This new behaviour would actually be useful while exporting screenshots, where it is curiously not implemented. If you want 5 images it is only logical you would benefit from auto versioning. Now you have to go change the file name suggestion every time.
(Even so, this might be no benefit for everyone, so a setting in customer defaults would not hurt)
Cheers!
