Hello,

Am trying to analyse and simple cantilever beam with varying thickness. The plate thickness is 4 mm and the other small part thickness (where strain location is in shell element type) is 0.5 mm. I used static general step and used exact materials and load and boundary condition for both model but why the strain location differs? Can someone help me with this, this might be simple mistake but I dont know where. I have attached picture for reference
