Hello everyone,

I am learning inventor and have a question about the stress analysis portion. I have a simply supported beam I would like to run an analysis on and am having trouble defining the fixed constraint. I need a pin type constraint, but I can only seem to define a full face constraint... Maybe that makes sense... Here’s what I have:

I have a tube with a force applied directly in the middle of the tube, perpendicular to its axis. I want each end to be supported by a pin, one which can move horizontally (simplest beam bending situation there is to my knowledge). How do I simulate this? I can do it easily by hand, but I am trying to learn inventor and would like to compare the two.

Thanks!

Oh, forgot to tell you I am using Inventor 9 Pro.
