Hi;

I have truss (wires) members in my bridge model, and I want to assess axial (compression and tensile) stresses.
In the attached screenshot, you can find the assigned beam orientation.
In this case, which stress should I consider: S11, S22, or S33?

Thank you in advance.

In truss elements S11 is always the axial stress.
