Hello everyone

I'm modeling 1D beam (B31H) with circle cross section, loaded by torque (its value is enough to cause plastic strain). The material is elasto-plastic with 530 MPa yield stress (306 MPa shear yield stress).
Looking through the results I see, that S->S12 gives me exactly 306 MPa, but shows no distribution (blue model). If I choose, for example, BEAM_STRESS->S12, I get 358 MPa, and BEAM_STRESS->Mises gives me 620 MPa. Both of these values exceed corresponding yield stress, and also, BEAM_STRESS shows linear stress distribution, which is not correct due to theory.

Can you please explain me, how to display the results correctly and also get distribution of shear or principal stress on the cross section of a beam?

Don't look at the contour plot of the cross section. This is just a simplified visualization. Look at the results of the section points directly.
