Hello

I have a question regarding how to display the stresses inside a specific cross section of a component in SolidWorks Simulation. I have only been able to find the min and max values of the component using the plot tool.
I have tried using the section cliping tool to position my crossection but I can´t probe the stresses on the cross sectioned area.

The cross section I mentioned is in across a bolt hole.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

My workaround to this problem was to split the model up into two sections with the interface on the plane you want to probe the result. As long as you set the contact condition to 'bonded' it will behave as a single entity. This allows you to probe the nodes on the section you desire.

Hope this helps

I though you could use section clipping and probe too, will have to check on that. However Jame's method is better because it allows you to pick a face.

Also if you have the pressure vessel module you can pick a line through the solid and linearize the stresses.
