Stress Range in AISC A360 Appendix 3: Fatigue and SAP2000

I am trying to calculate the stress range from the results in SAP2000, which I need to compare/use in AISC A360 Appendix 3: Fatigue. For the stress range, at any given point and load case, do I calculate required stress range = max principal stress - min principal stress? Even if not using SAP2000, but some other means, is the equation for required stress range correct?
