When calling out structural angles in an AutoCad file, what symbols are used in the prefix and/or suffix of the callout in different cases like an single angle with the long leg up or down or a double angle with long legs back to back? The more examples I have the better.

Some engineers have seen an angle represented as a reversed "L" before the description(3x3x1/4) but the AISC shows "L 3x3x1/4."

I believe AISC recommends the following:

Single angle:

L3x3x1/4

Double angle:

2 L4x3x1/4 (LLBB)

(meaning double angle with long legs back to back)

Single angle with long leg vertical:

L4x3x1/4 (LLV)
