Structural Engineering Cost for Foundation Design

Hi,

Does anybody have an idea of how much a structural engineer should charge to design a foundation only for a residential building in TX? I am asking $ per square foot for a slab-on-grade. Does it depend on what kind of foundation or what kind of soil it is? (I guess not). In my case, it is a residential building with about 5000 sq.ft including 1000 sq.ft in 2nd floor.

How does it differ from the case when the structural engineer will design whole building structure vs. only foundation is designed by stru. engineer?

Additionally, If an architect would detail some structural connections between wall and foundation and request structural engineer's review and signature, how much should we charge per sheet for review and seal and sign?

I can't comment on the slab design but regarding reviewing an architects detail. We do a similar service where we review a structural engineers design for a residential house. Maybe 2 A3s of foundation drawings. A letter never leaves our office for less than £500 (London).
