S355 or equivalent almast always means : use S355 - or better.
using "equivalent" USA steel grades (instead of EU steel according to the 10025) usually means a higher % C, which will make you fall into more difficult steel groups to qualify for (both WPS as weldor).

There are (3?) ISO/TR (technical rapport) which give similar classification, I'll check for their references this evening.

Hi
Thanks for your response
As you said S355 or equivalent means Use S355 or better

We are planing to use S355 equivalent material like 1) S355K2G3 2)S355J2+N
3) S355K2+N etc

The above grade materials are equivalent? Please give your comment

Thanks & Regards
PVK Raju

The grades you have suggested such as S355J2+N are S355 material already, so you are not substituting for another material?

the additional information is describing the rolling process and other properties. I would advise to check if the design requirements are more stringent than just '355 or equivalent', as it sometimes is.

hope that helps
regards
