Structure Manager in TC 8.3 - BOM quantity not the same in PACK mode

I'm running TC 8.3 with NX 7.5 and when I look at the BVR in the Structure Manager, I noticed something odd. I have two arrangements; one with 5 parts displayed, nothing suppressed, and the other with 2 parts displayed, 3 parts suppressed. All of the parts are the same itemrevision. In the 1st arrangement, packed or unpacked, the quantity shows 5. In the second arrangement, unpacked shows the two parts only but when I pack the item, the text at the end of the part name shows "x5" not "x2". Bug or design feature? Anybody else ever see this problem? If so, do you know of a fix? -Thanks in advance.
