I have a BOM question.. BTW we am running SW06. We currently are using the SW based BOM Indented Ass'y type.

Example: we have a clamp Ass'y (A) that consist of 2 sub ass'y (B)(B) those Sub Ass'ys, (B)(B) each contain the same 2 parts (c)(c). When they appear in the BOM, the Sub Ass'y (B)(B) show up as a quantity of 2. The parts contained under the Sub Ass'y show up as 1. We would like to keep the Parts driving the Quantity not the Sub Ass'y.

I understand that we can use Parts only as our BOM Type, but we have Ass'y that we need to keep as if they were parts.

If you can decifer my madness give it a shot.

If all you need to do is keep certain subassemblies displayed as parts, you can still use a Parts Only type BOM. All you have to do is go to the configuration properties of the subassembly and check the box for "Do not show child components in BOM when used as a subassembly."
