I am looking to make an outboard DC 96V 9-15HP 5000 RPM Boat motor.
The first problom I have run into was being submersible. I was planing on machining a custom housing of aluminam and an end housing.
Second I have found that using a brushless motor is a must as I will not need air flow through the motor to eliminate dust from the brushes.

I also decided on using a current control for the drive as the load on the batterys will be a lot more predictable and effitient.
Dose anyone have any sugetions on the brand of motor and drive? Also on the aplication, is ther anything I'm missing?

I don't think you thought about this too long. The motor is likely way bigger than the prop. Why put it under water in the first place when a right angle drive is easy at these power levels? And why 5000 rpm? Though about what it takes to power this?
