We're looking for a submersible mixer to install in a water tower (submersible, powered, recirculation equipment for potable water reservoir).

The overall volume of the tank is 1 000 000 US GAL and the maximum water level is 120 ft from ground.
The area of the tank is 1200 square feet.
Thing is there is not a large daily variation of water level (around 10') in this tank to maintain adequate pressure near the ground.
We're already looking to fluctuate more (e.g. less pressure during the night). But we do have water quality issues aswell as ice problems in the winter (we're located in Canada).

I would like to know if someone here know what to look for in a submersible mixer. I'm guessing adequate capacity to influence enough the water to mix it properly?
Could this be an option? Is there something else?

Some of these systems use such little air that one doubts the effectiveness.

Blowing air through is effective.

Even with any of these systems, the operator will have to monitor the water tank and make sure that the tank inventory is used daily.

Google Flygt mixers

Submersible mechanical mixers can be a maintenance nightmare. Many customers are pulling the units in/out regularly to change seals, and if you don't catch a failing seal in time you get oil/grease in your water and ruin the internals of the unit. Study those maintenance guidelines carefully.

Do you have a manway on the bottom course that might house a side-entering mixer? Those tend to be much less hassle.
