Good day all,
I am designing a subsurface application in a tank, following NFPA 11. Clause 5.2.6.3.2 ask to have the outlets located at least 0.3 m (1 ft) above the highest water level to prevent destruction of the foam.
Someone can tell me how can I estimate the water level in a diesel tank?

If this is a field erected AST it will have what I term a water drawoff sump so that condensate can be drained from the tank. This is located on the tank floor.

Only your operations department can tell you, based on experience, how much water there will be.
