Suction Cups

I have a job at my facility where we are planning on installing a new window at high elevation. The recommended installation plan called for the use of 'suction cups' to install the window pane in place. The window pane itself is 650 lbs. I am in the process of checking with Vendor recommendations. However, does any one know any related standards, common industry practices, typical sizing practices for the use of suction cups for this application? as always, any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it during installation or for installation? We use suction cups to lift the glass by the face and to hold it exactly on to the window frame gasket tape. This is for a flush type window.

We need suction cups to be used during the installation of the window pane to fit in place. We need to use a scaffold to lower the window in place and then fit in place to allow for installation as per maufacturers instructions. The recommendation of the use of some sort of suction cups came from our onsite personnel but we have never used them for any previous activity. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know where you are, but as you are state the weight in pounds, I guess that you're in North America so you might try speaking to these guys, they seem to cover a wide range af capacity:

I think SincoTC gave you a good reference. Our windows are rather small (4'x4') and we use manual ones (just press them down the pane and that is all).
