Suction line piping 1

Current installation of a low temperature refrigeration box. The boss made me redo the suction line piping. He says that because the Evaporator is above the compressor in this application the suction line should be looped to the highest point of the coil before dropping to the compressor. He told me to figure out my mistake. It cant be an oil return issue...can it?

You do not want any liquid refrigerant leaving the evaporator, only vaporized refrigerant.

... but you do want the vapor to carry oil back to the compressor, so you put a trap between the evaporator and the bottom of that 'riser'.

Search on 'refrigerant piping' to find handbooks with hints about subtle, er, traps, you might encounter.
