suggestions needed for cuckoo clock motor

Hello-
i'm hoping someone can suggest a type of motor and control device for a project i'm working on. the motor has to push out a small (8" square) shelf through two spring loaded doors, pause for 5-10 seconds, and then retract the shelf. can anyone suggest what type of motor, drive, and control that would work for this project? Thanks

Suggestion: The servo motor will be preferable to the squirrel cage induction motor if very frequent cycling is needed. There is a good selection of those motors on
