Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of where running a sulfur cured material in the same building as an LSR caused a problem?

No, but I do know that equipment used for LSR should be dedicated to silicone rubber and nothing else. Likewise, silicone rubbers should not be used on equipment used for sulphur curing compounds unless they have been thoroughly and deeply cleaned.

I have ran sulfur around LSR in small quantities at a couple of plants but never next to each other in long production runs. I have ran them in the same press and I understand the clean out involved. Kind of the same situation as some HCRs. I have a big order coming in and wanted to make sure that in the long term I would be OK. I will be putting a vent over the sulfur material to help remove the fumes.
