Does anybody have any data on the ppm of sulphur or halogens in food grade mineral oil? I'm looking for a ppm number, not just that it is or isn't present. I see reference to a Pharmacopoeia Standard 24 but again no real data or numbers.
Mineral oil can be used to reduce the potential for rust on food processing equipment and this is where the question came up regarding sulphur and halogens.
Thanks in advance for your input and time.

Won't the oil manufacturers tell you? I used to buy food grade mineral oil for use in sealed electric motors. I am sure that our specs covered such things, and that we used the info from the supplier.

The manufacturer I contacted pointed me to the Pharmacopoeia Standard 24. I couldn't find any hard data in that Standard so I queried this group.
Thanks for your input, I'll ask a few more manufacturers.
