Hi,
I am simulating the electromagnetic interaction between a cylindrical permanent magnet and a planar coil. I defined the permanent magnet as a component and applied force flag on it. When solving the model, I found the total electromagnetic force reported as the summary of forces by virtual work is far different from the summary by maxwell stress tensor. One is on the order of 100, the other is about 10000. What is the potential reason for this huge difference?
I used sourc36 for coil, solid98 MAG for magnet, infin47 for the outside space domain boundary.
Thank you!
Steve
